Request a consultation to begin your Teaching and Learning Partnership.

The UAGC Teaching and Learning Partnership is an institutional program supporting faculty-driven development through a collaborative model that fosters innovation, reflection, and teaching excellence.

Rooted in the UAGC Culture of Care, the program offers a supportive, collaborative space for faculty development grounded in a shared commitment to student-centered teaching. The UAGC Teaching and Learning Partnership program empowers faculty to evolve their teaching perspectives and practices and deepen their connection to institutional values through personally meaningful consultations.

Through this partnership, faculty gain a thought partner to:

  • Navigate challenges and strengthen teaching practices
  • Reflect, experiment, and evolve instructional approaches
  • Align with diverse student needs and institutional goals

Developed using a collaborative model guided by faculty needs, the program honors faculty expertise while offering developmental support grounded in academic quality. The UAGC Teaching and Learning Partnership program aims to:

  • Create a synergistic collaboration to identify, diagnose, and develop solutions.
  • Support the evolution of instructional practices outside of any evaluative structures in a constructive space.
  • Recognize faculty autonomy and content expertise.
  • Support reflective dialogue via ideation, reflection, and the co-creation of interventions.

While consultation can focus on the topics listed below, faculty needs drive the focus to create an individual experience. The Partnership focuses on key topics related to teaching quality, such as:

  • Reflecting on Teaching Practices (Instructional Strategies)
  • Promoting Student Belonging through an Inclusive Classroom Culture
  • Addressing Specific Teaching Challenges (Classroom Management)
  • Adapting Curriculum/Pedagogy for Diverse Learner Needs
  • Crafting Substantive Feedback
  • Navigating Escalated Student Issues
  • Encouraging Student Engagement
  • Contributing to Programmatic Accreditation or Program Review
  • Developing Effective Assessment Practices
