The TechReady LapTop Connection is one step in a broader initiative to support student technology readiness and is built on the work of the cross-functional team that recently updated our minimum tech requirements. These efforts aim to ensure all students are equipped for success from day one. When a student expresses a need for a laptop—whether through Admission, Advising, or Tech Support—that team member can send a templated email directly to the student. The email provides a curated set of resources for finding the right computer for them, including:
- A new partnership with the University of Arizona Campus Store, giving students access to a custom page featuring pre-vetted devices that meet our tech requirements.
- Alternative options, such as nonprofit organizations, retail discounts, and refurbished laptops, so the student can choose what works best for them.
Instructions for Faculty - If a student shares that they don't have access to a reliable computer, please refer them to their advisor, who can send the email and provide guidance as appropriate.
