The Test Student appears in the Canvas Gradebook whenever a user (whether an instructor or a view-only admin) clicks the “Student View” button in the Canvas class. It is a fake account that has no impact on reporting, Waypoint, or Turnitin. Since it does not impact reporting, instructors do not need to enter grades for the Test Student. Instructors can enter grades if they want to test and see what it would look like from a student’s perspective.
