Live Learning consists of synchronous sessions where faculty members and students gather to cultivate collegiality, promote active engagement, and nurture a deep sense of belonging. Sessions are designed to facilitate meaningful connections and foster a supportive learning environment. The information learned in the session will be used in class and is tied to a graded activity.

These sessions provide students with valuable opportunities to develop skills crucial for success throughout their UAGC journey, not just in a specific course. It is also a chance for students to ask questions and engage with faculty and other students in a live and immediate format. Live Learning sessions are only required if specified for the course. If sessions are required, students must join at least one session. Given that these sessions have an impact on graded activities, it is advisable for students to attend at the earliest opportunity.

If a student cannot attend, they should contact their instructor for alternatives. While faculty can provide a video recording of the session, research indicates that attending live sessions is more beneficial; therefore, offer the video as on option only under extenuating circumstances. This approach also encourages students to develop the habit of reaching out to instructors.
