Faculty can email students directly from the discussion forums. Use this communication shortcut to easily acknowledge student's work, send specific feedback, provide learning support and more.
In the discussion forums, instructors can click on the student’s name by the profile image/picture to send an email message
After clicking on the envelope icon, this is the view faculty will see:
Click the icon to “send a new message.”
Choose current course>students>then choose which student(s) you wish to send the message to.
NOTE: Faculty can also connect with their students through the Canvas inbox, mobile app, and Signalz.
