The course tiles on your Canvas Dashboard can be customized. This is a great way to visually keep track of your courses. You can change the color of the tiles on your Dashboard as a way to color-code which courses are past, active, or pending. You can also assign a “Nickname” to a particular course.

Choose the course tile you want to customize.

Click on the three white dots in the upper right corner of the tile.

A pop-up box will allow you to type in a nickname as well as change the color of the course tile.

Click on “Apply” to save your changes.
