When students with extended time accommodations exceed their accommodation timeframe, please connect with the student to ensure they are supported. You may refer them to their Access and Wellness Counselor for further support if they need it. The Access and Wellness Counselor is listed at the top right of the Authorized Accommodations form. Students with disabilities may experience impacts that lead them to request additional time beyond the extended-time accommodations. This additional time is granted at the instructor’s discretion. UAGC encourages faculty to provide additional support as needed, when it's reasonable and when the course's learning outcomes are not impacted. After the extended time accommodation has lapsed, at minimum, the documented course late policy timeframe must be afforded to students, and then late point deductions may be applied but are not required.
The Office of Student Access and Wellness staff are available to answer your questions and provide support. For further assistance, please reach out to access@uagc.edu.
